Several times I wanted to print a media mail shipping label using USPS and could not so I had to go to the post office.  The media mail area is grey which means I cannot select it.  It is not the size because they are within the size eligibility and they are books, an allowable item.  Any suggestions?  Thanks.  Connie

Could be that the category you listed in, is not eligible for Media Mail.

eBay is trying to reduce the abuse of Media Mail being used for non-eligible items.  But their strategy is crudely based on the main category that an item is listed in. So if you list a book in the Books category, you'll get the option to ship via Media Mail. But if you list the book in Collectibles, you won't be shown the option to purchase MM postage when it comes time to ship your item.  

The price for MM postage is the same at the PO , but if you want to avoid the trip, you can purchase MM postage online from any other online postage seller, including PayPal; go to www.PayPal.com/shipnow
