There is no need to write Media Mail on the package.

MM is a low-priority ground shipping, which is why it can be very very slow.  But the buyer should see a reasonable delivery estimate in the listing.  Consider offering Priority Mail as a second choice, so if the buyer complains about delivery time you can politely point out that he had the option to pay more for faster delivery.  The small flat rate box is just the right size for a videotape, so there would be no extra cost for packaging.

Re: shiping a vhs tap

1st Class, which ships about as fast as Priority, costs just about $4.

By the way, its "tapes".... With an 'e'.

Taps is what is on the bottom of a dancers shoe or the name of a Trumpet Song played at (usually) Military Funerals.

Any sturdy box will do.  DO NOT use a priority mail box or you will be charged priority mail.

$4 is about the lowest, and depending on distance may be a lot more.

Not if you ship via Media Mail, because Media Mail prices are not zoned.  You can ship up to 1 pound to any ZIP code for $3.65, and 2 pounds is $4.35.

@mikeh7472_8

If you sold them on eBay you will be able to use the buyer's payment to purchase a label through eBay to ship while the funds are processing.

When you get to the label area scroll down to choose "your funds", or (last I saw) PayPal as a source of payment.
