I used to ship all over the world. It was always hit and miss due to the language barriers and cultural differences. The shipping was always very high, 3 - 5 times what it costs shipping within the US. All in all not bad. Now eBay has a Global shipping program that makes it a little better for the buyer.

My firend uses the Global Shipping service and swears by it. He has used it for the last five years and said you get a little better protection using it. I never have used it, but, read about it and it seams decent. No cost to be a part of the program. You are also covered if an item is damaged on its way there.

Here is eBay's Global Shipping Program:

Hope this helps!

You will need to decide if you wish to ship internationally directly yourself or use the GSP program.  As far as shipping rates, it would depend upon the carrier selected, method of shipping selected, weight and other factors.  Any customs duty or import taxes charged by the buyer's government is their responsibility.

Frankly, I would suggest using the GSP program in your case.

An inexperienced seller should go slow with international selling, and avoid high-risk countries such as Russia.  If you want to sell to Russia, then use the Global Shipping Program.
