Ok so I have an item that I want to sell via eBay that is of decent size, box is 24” x 32” x 36” and roughly 80-90 lbs, and want to know how other sellers generally go about selling and shipping larger items that require freight shipping. It’s a $2500 item and after listing it on Craigslist and marketplace locally I get only psychos wanting to either trade me a dirt bike for it or messages like I’m out of work I’d like to offer you $150 for it type stuff. It will be a buy it now listing so how do you offer a shipping quote when it’s with a company other than ups, fedex etc? I’m guessing you add in comments to message first for shipping quote and for them to send their zip code to get an accurate estimate ? Is there a certain freight company or website people like to use to get multiple estimates on shipping freight? Any information or experience is greatly appreciated here
