Hello.
I am new eBay seller. Yesterday I received an email to mail one of my items to Italy. I told the buyer no because we only wanted to ship within US for now. This person continued to send 4 or 5 emails asking why all in Italian and a mix of English bc I said I didn’t speak Italian. I almost wanted to block that requestor because it felt weird. So I responded with the same answer for the last time. They then responded with English that they would use their address from New York. And they made an offer just this morning. Does this sound strange? Has anyone ran into this situation?

I don't see anything over about $50, so I don't see a uasual scam target type item. Some of your items are fragile though and probably wouldn't survive the trip.
They may hacve a freight forwarder address in NY to send it on to them.

I agree with chrysylys ... I don't see anything in your inventory that would be a typical target for a scammer, so I doubt this is a scam.
If you can list with the Global Shipping Program, that is a way to ship only to the US while being able to sell to international buyers. The downside to GSP is that this program is often prohibitively expensive to most international buyers (it doesn't cost you anything additional).

It is not enough to block buyers from certain countries on eBay alone. Some get around the blocks by using mail forwarding addresses/businesses located in the US. If you do not want to sell to buyers who do not have US Paypal accounts (and US shipping addresses), you need to log in to your Paypal account and change who you accept payments from under your account settings.
