Hello! I have never done anything like this but I am very frustrated. I am a faithful buyer of ebay for many years. So I am hoping you sellers can take better care of us buyers and go to bat for us.
I couldn't get an item return back to seller in time due to a family emergency. Ebay closed the case while I was away(this was not on my mind as I was away). When I returned and saw that the case was closed I contacted the seller. My seller was great!~ she understood the situation and said she would take them back. But I called ebay and they cannot, will not reopen a case and they cannot, and will not print the original return label or make a new return label. I was told that was impossible to do! And she said no matter who I talked to above her-all the way to the top- you will get the same answer! I told her that saying the word impossible is a very definitive word. You are saying it is fixed, hopeless, unable to exist, unable to be done. (At one time they thought eBay could not be done) Usually nothing is impossible! Thank goodness the world doesn't think like that! I am thankful for people who see a situation (they think is impossible) and find a way, come up with a solution, create away! Therefore, I am sorry but that is wrong that ebay cannot or will not reopen a case under certain situation! Especially if the sell is willing to do it!! That is not taking care of those of us who are buyers! Can someone help? Anything I can do? I mean if the seller is willing to allow me to return them why will ebay not? And why would they tell us it is impossible?!?!?!

Unfortunately, with an operation as large as eBay accommodation for special circumstances isn't always possible. The post regarding going through PayPal may be your best bet. However, you would probably be required to pay the return shipping.

Sorry, but they only give you 5 days to get the item shipped back.
Once they close a case, it can't be reopened.
You can file a claim on Pay Pal for 180 days.
