Hi, I sold an item in June 2017 and now the person wants to return it saying they  just opened it and it was the wrong item. Her reason is grieving for her dog. I really need some advice on this one!

Ignore the message.

The buyer will now have to do some more "grieving" when they notice they have run out of time with eBay...though PayPal may be an issue depending on when they paid.

As long as the buyer paid before June 18th, you are in the clear. They are way too late to file a case with ebay and paypal only gives them a 180 days from the date of payment.  I would ignore them, they are almost out of time to file with paypal if they paid after 6/18.
