Hello everyone, I am selling a couple different big size pools and they're not moving so I decided to add a free hand pump with it if they buy the pool. My question is if someone buys them when you print the postage out does it know that there is two items and prints out enough postage for two and not just one. Do they go by the title you have for your ad or something else? I just posted that add on last night so hopefully someone will buy one today.
Thank you

No, ebay doesn't know you have 2 packages to mail when that listing sells. You need to adjust the price of the item to include shipping costs for the 2nd package.

or add some weight and demission to the original package, this may take some trial and error to get correct.
Just guess how much weight to add then go into the listing, use a ship to zip that is far away and see how it worked

No. How could eBay know whether you have two items, and whether you are shipping them in the same box or separately?? When you purchase postage through eBay, you have to tell them the weight and dimensions for each package. If you leave it up to eBay, they will use category averages and will probably not charge your buyer enough.
I looked at your listings and I'm pretty sure that they are not charging your buyers enough to cover your postage costs. How did you decide how much to charge?

You will either have to absorb the postage cost of the add-on item or include that cost into the price of the pool itself. Just package up that pump and determine the shipping cost to the farthest zone and add that cost to the total price of the pool. But the bottom line is that your price for say that Lagoon Family pool is simply not competitive with Amazon's price and adding a pump will change nothing. Alas heavy inflatables are nearly impossible to sell, or for that matter any heavy item where shipping is higher than the cost of the item, because of the shipping advantage that Amazon has over Ebay sellers.
