1. When you "contacted" the seller, you actually started an Item Not Received refund request. Your seller had 3 business days to prove with a tracking number that your giraffe had been delivered to you. Instead, they promised a refund.
2. When you didn't get the refund either, you accidentally closed the refund request, and eBay noted that you closed the item not received. You have no more recourse with eBay, whether you call or try an appeal.
Instead, if you paid with PayPal, open a dispute http://paypal.com/disputes for Item Not Received. Then go back and click Escalate to PayPal. Do not close the case this time, even if your seller says they'll refund you, or the giraffe is suddenly back in stock. Just wait up to 11 days for your refund.
Otherwise, if you paid with a credit card, call the number on the back and file a chargeback for Goods not received. Again, just wait for your refund.

Contact eBay. Your ID shows you have only purchased 1 item ever through eBay and this seller doesn't carry cycle parts. ?
