p.o. box

Hi Everyone,  I have a buyer that never picked item up from po box despite me messaging him that it was there waiting to be picked up. (I follow the tracking on most of my items) Now - have received info that it is being sent back to me. Have not received yet however. What is my next move. Thanks in advance & hoping that everyone is well and making a few $$$.

Re: p.o. box

Stop messaging the buyer. Maybe they go to the post office once a week... twice a month? Who knows? You might be irritating them and you are only setting yourself up for a negative feedback. Once a shipment leaves your place and is scanned into the USPS system, just leave it alone until there is an issue from the buyer.

They may have picked it up already and the PO counter clerk never scanned the delivery scan. You can be even prompting the buyer to open a INR claim that may force a refund

Re: p.o. box

Wait till the item gets back to you.  If buyer still wants it you can send them a PayPal invoice for the cost of reshipping.

Re: p.o. box

Have they responded to your messages?  If not, when you get it back, message them that it came back to you and they can pay for shipping again to receive it.  Wait on them to respond.  If they don't just refund relist

I wouldn't even chase the buyer any longer. You've done it and got no reply.

Although you aren't obligated, the right thing to do would be to refund the purchase price only once you get it back. Don't refund shipping because you've already paid for the service. You can also deduct your fees from the refund.

Re: p.o. box

@jbbowers12012   If it was a book send Media Mail you will have to pay the rerun shipping.   Wait until the item is delivered to you ... the fact that it was delivered to a PO Box you are covered for an Item not received claim as eBay views it as delivered to a PO box on the tracking history.

If the item is in the same condition that you shipped it in simply message the Buyer and let them know it was delivered to the PO box but not picked up and for some reason is being returned.  Then wait to see if you hear from them before taking an action.

Stop babysitting your packages.

Let the buyer come to you if they have an issue.

Don't refund anything. If it's returned to you, it's yours to keep.

@pickermall   Actually, eBay views delivery to a Post Office box as confirmed delivery ... so in this instance if the Buyer filed an Item not received claim the Seller would win because of the delivery to the Post Office box.  Your other comments are extremely valid.

Re: p.o. box

True, especially if it was being returned to sender... viewed as a refused delivery.
