Made a sale stated the issue in the description of the item the buyer had it 6 days and decides to want a refund I gave it but lost money and the item contacted ebay I reported the buyer as ebay said to do for a false claim of saying it wasnt what was described 2 thoughts on it why buy it for one if I had it described that way and 2 why wait 6 days it was a dvd set so they probably watched it over the 6 days and wanted a refund as if I'm a rental place but I wont see the item anyways I reported and blocked the buyer out money which is rough when you dont have a job they declined partial refund with keeping item so I feel scammed on this one

If you refunded the buyer before you got the item back, there isn't much you can do.

In the future, the very first picture that the buyer sees should be a photo of the ACTUAL item that they will receive. I would have expected to see the 5 discs laying out with the "different" cover/case displayed with them. The generic item stock photo would not be appropriate in this case. I've learned from writing technical user manuals, that no one reads. Pictures are the way to go. I know it takes more time to create a listing when you take your own photos, but in this case, I would have done that. What you see is what you get. I've sold many used books, dvds, cds, etc. Having photos of the actual item in the actual condition has been a "cover my ass" solution for me.

Sorry this is frustrating to you, but you are not being scammed. Selling on eBay has a steep learning curve, and you are simply encountering the bumps in the selling road that we all have hit ... every time you hit one of these bumps, you will lose money. To keep a positive attitude, it is best to look at each of these bumps as the cost of learning about how to sell on eBay.
Because of the way you listed this particular item, the buyer has several valid reasons why why they can object and get their money back. Learn about these, and try not to repeat them with other listings:

Yeah, you have to be very careful in your listing language and your photos. A scam buyer will take any toehold offered and run with it. Just another lesson and a relatively inexpensive one. There are some pretty cheap scanners on the market and they work well with books, comics, CDs,DVDs etc. Good luck in the future, keep your stick on the ice!

If you wanted the item back, you should have provided a prepaid return shipping label. Then once the item is delivered back to you, then you refund in full. It sounds like you selected to refund without return of the item.
