I have over a dozen items not showing up on tracking or even being scanned at the origin location. No one to speak to at USPS and Ebay says they cant do anything its not there system that's causing it. Meantime my default rate is dropping and customers are going crazy.

If you are not going to the PO and getting the items scanned: you are risking delays, or (not even scanned), in scans by the USPS.
As for eBay and the tracking going on with it: it does have a glitch from all the posts I have seen about it:
So far no solution on that one.

Hi!
I have the same issue going on. All my packages are physically scanned at post office and I have receipts. Yet, eBay customer service is no help. I have tried to contact them and all I get is they will escalate the case. Escalate it to where? No one reaches back out and no one answers emails yet my TRS is in jeopardy because of a glitch within their system. I checked the tracking on USPS website and all packages show correct tracking information. The USPS website shows correct time all were scanned and what day. I even forwarded all this information to eBay and no one has returned messages. It seems like it is some new issue everyday and none are being fixed. That is what it seems like to me. I even had a CS rep try to tell me the standard junk about buyer not having a great experience shopping my store. What the heck was that? They are not even talking about the same thing as I am. There is on that states late delivery defect. I have tried and tried to prove to eBay that it was not late and the buyer left positive feedback that included fast shipping within the feedback. They still stated that they buyer had a bad experience. That makes no sense at all. Where do they get that from? I just wish there was someone that knew what they were doing at customer service. It is very frustrating for all sellers alike.

i contacted ebay customer service too and i got a reply that they know about this issue as some other seller reported about it, they asked me to contact every buyer and provide them tracking through ebay messaging . if you have hundred of orders then send messages to 100 buyers? i facing this issue with UPS labels. USPS is working fine at my side. ebay should stop celebrating 25 years and should focus on future growth. now its really painful to contact every buyer and let him her know about tracking number.

Hi!
That is what I am saying about customer service. They are horrible. It is not your responsibility to contact every seller and how could you possibly do that? Oh I didn't realize it was UPS you had issues with sorry. Mine is with eBay not USPS. There is some kind of glitch on eBay website that communicates with USPS. I checked my tracking numbers on USPS and they are fine everything looks normal but on eBay it is not and it is causing defects just like UPS labels are. Yeah, they should stop celebrating and get to work. There are so many issues going on it isn't funny. Just this morning they had a huge problem with managed payment payouts to sellers. They should have left well enough alone and left the payments to paypal. I have been selling here for a long time and never had no where near this many issues that I encounter daily. The worst part is you can never get a straight answer or any help at all. We small business seller or store owners are what makes eBay and they seem to forget that all the time. Good luck I am going to keep trying till I get an answer.

Try looking for the tracking info on a third party site like Ship24 or one of the others I think TrackmyPackage? Often has updates neither eBay or USPS has. How? I have no idea.
You can encourage your customers to do same. I do with international since USPS tracking sometimes ends at the border but other sites handle local PO delivery.
