Hello,
I have received an item that is different from what I bought, I bought a global version (multilangual) but the seller sent me the chinese version (only chinese and english).
The seller does not accept returns, and the global version is pricier than the chinese one. So I, of course contacted him but it's been more than 3 days and he has yet to answer.
I tried to open a case in the resolution center, I click on:
I received an item that does not match the seller's description.
but it automatically takes me to the return your item page!!
First of all, the seller does not accept returns, and second even if he accepts I can't afford to send it back because it's complicated here (I will go through customs and they will charge me extra) and the shipping fee will cost me the same price of this product!! So, now for an item that first cost me $50 I will have to pay over $70 which in all will be a total of $120+ !!
Can anyone please tell me what should I do? at this point, return is impossible. What about a refund? Can I ask for the seller to pay me the difference because I paid for the pricier one?

The seller did not respond. So I asked eBay to step in and they refunded me.
Great service

Yes, you have to return it, but you are NOT responsible for the shipping.
The SELLER is responsible for the return shipping in a not as described case. Sellers have no way to purchase return shipping labels from another country, so if the seller is in another country, you will need to find out the cost of TRACKED shipping back to the seller. It will be expensive. They are then supposed to send you the funds through Paypal. If they cannot or will not, ask Ebay to step in when the link becomes available in the case. Ebay will force the refund without a return.
Don't listen to anything the seller has to say. They may tell you that you have to close the case for them to issue a label. That is a lie. They may tell you they're going to send a replacement. That is a lie. They may say that you will have to pay the shipping back. That is a lie.
Ebay's money back guarantee (MBG) will ALWAYS override a seller's return policy in the case of a not as described claim.
As to customs, this would be a merchandise return and should not be subject to any customs charges. If you had to pay duties to receive the package, you'll need to contact your customs officials to find out how to get a refund of the fees since the item is being returned.

How do I do that? I've never done this before. Should I click on the return item button?

Yes when you clicked on item not as described and then it takes you to the return section continue through with that process. As long as you've choosen not as described the sellers no return policy doesn't matter

You said it only came in two languages, English and Chinese. Doesnt multi mean more than one? If so it came with more than one language. What's the name of the book you ordered or the item number? I'd like to see the languages the listing specifically offered.

It's the new Xiaomi band. There's more than one version:
there's the Chinese version with NFC (supports English and chinese), there's the chinese version with no NFC ( standard version it also supports English and chinese) and there's the Global version which is Multilangual (it supports English, Spanish, Arabic, French, Russian, Italian... that's why it's pricier than the others and the person I bought this for as a gift does not speak English or Chinese.
The seller states in the description that he sells the Global version, and that's what I bought, not the chinese version!!
The box is in chinese, the manual is in chinese everything is in chinese but if you buy the Global version the box and manual are in English. and that's not what I got!!

Thank you for helping me understand. Once you open the case if the seller doesn't send you a prepaid return label OR send you return shipping money up front, then in a few days you'll be able to ask eBay to step in and force the seller to refund.
