item lost at Erlanger

More than a month ago I bought an item at ebay and let it ship to the Netherlands trough the global shipping programme. Apparently the item was 'lost' at Erlanger. Opened communications with the seller, whom suggested I could open a case to get my money back. So I went to the resolution centre, looked up the item, clicked on it, send the communications between myself and the seller, clicked on send... than the message 'oops a technical hiccup' try again later or contact us through the help& contact page. Now almost two weeks later I am nowhere. The service keeps suggesting me that I escalate the case, but there is no case, nor can I escalate it, because of technical hiccups. Can't try open a new case, because apperently there is a case opened on this item ( can't find it anywhere). If I do not escalate the case within 30 days, the case is automatically closed and I lose the right of a refund.   Contacted the service, they say call us or they can call me, but there is no phonenumber from the Netherlands and they aren't going to call me because the do not call oversees. Tried to explane my case, the service walks me through the steps I have already taken: open the resolution centre, click on item, sent request, then escalate ** sigh** no I can't because when clicking on the case details, there is the technical hiccup again. Oh... can you call us? So I guess I lost both the item and my money?

Re: item lost at Erlanger

I know you have called and gotten nowhere, but I wonder if you tried calling once more and (politely) demanded to speak with a supervisor, etc because no one has been able to help you so far.. I wonder if it might make a difference. I'd think they should be able to get in your account, and do the same steps you have been doing, and either see the 'hiccup' same as you, or not, but be able to escalate for you regardless.

I am not familiar with the GSP, when I ship internationally I do it directly, so that is the only bit of advice I have for you.

Don't give up, even though it sounds like it has become a headache!

Re: item lost at Erlanger

First, make sure the technical hiccup does not have something to do with your computer or browser by trying the same procedure on a different browser and on a different computer.

If you go to the bottom of every eBay page, can you see a link to go to the Resolution Center?  If so, what happens when you click it?

Any luck Googling for eBay phone numbers for the Netherlands or anywhere in Central Europe?
