illegal charge from pitneybowes

Hello, Today I've payed for two items I've won in auction.

Items are based in UK and I'm located in Slovakia.

I was charged:|

per ebay Invoice:

Price: 950 GBP

Postage : 40 GBP

Total charged to visa: 990.46 GBP

However, I was charged again by PAYPAL *PITNEYBOWES.

From my card I was charged again, amount of 39.06 EUR.

I Want those money back .

I have not agreed anywhere to these fees and I'm from EU, buying item from UK, there is no USA in this transaction.

Therefore any charging from pitneybowes company is unlawful charge.

I REQUEST immediate refund

What kind of scam you are running in here Ebay?

I paid 75 pounds for shipping, 40+35.

fees and conversion rates are already included in euro amount my card was deducted from.

as you can see per screenshot, charged amount is more then 990 pounds when you convert it.

so on top of that we got additional 35 pounds charged as well.

The 990 is pounds the higher cost is euro.  The exchange rate wouldn’t already show in the 990.  Plus there is the PayPal conversion fee.  I don’t know if you cc would also then charge an additional fee also on top of that    But I do think this is all because of exchange rates and conversion fees

By the way In this conversion fee exchange rate idea of the issue the 35 and 40 aren’t all shipping it’s still just 40 pounds shipping. It’s just there have been fee percentages and exchange rates added to both split transactions

I don't think it had anything to do with customs duties or conversion rates either. Had it been a U.S. to your country sale, then yes, customs would be addred. But not from U.K.  I will go under the assumption that you believe you saw 40 euros on the listing as the shipping charge. That may not be the case.

It would be helpful to see the actual listing. I am not familiar with UK listings but when a U.S. seller uses the GSP, there is a blurb (fine print admittedly) saying the correct shipping charge would calculate at check out. If you looked at the listing without having your country's postal code inserted in the shipping to field, you may have seen the UK shipping costs. (the seller would not use GSP  to ship within UK so you would see 40 euros.)

But when you checked out with your country's address, the shipping would recalculate to your country. You would have seen the 70 euros as a shipping charge on the checkout screen, but it would have posted as two separate charges; the 40 euros for the seller and the second charge for Pitney Bowes.

Off track a little here, but the Asian sellers are famous for plastering FREE SHIPPING all over their listings, but when you actually look under the shipping tab, you will see a shipping charge to your country.

It was listed during checkout as 40 pounds.

thats all i can say about this.

70 pounds for shipping from uk to slovakia?

now cmone what kind of bad joke is that?

i had my shipping fee canceled and seller agreed to send items directly to my address via royal mail with tracking number.

guess what, costed 15 pounds.

this is total ripoff, 70 vs 15.

never more...
