illegal charge from pitneybowes

Hello, Today I've payed for two items I've won in auction.

Items are based in UK and I'm located in Slovakia.

I was charged:|

per ebay Invoice:

Price: 950 GBP

Postage : 40 GBP

Total charged to visa: 990.46 GBP

However, I was charged again by PAYPAL *PITNEYBOWES.

From my card I was charged again, amount of 39.06 EUR.

I Want those money back .

I have not agreed anywhere to these fees and I'm from EU, buying item from UK, there is no USA in this transaction.

Therefore any charging from pitneybowes company is unlawful charge.

I REQUEST immediate refund

What kind of scam you are running in here Ebay?

You "paid" for the GSP..looks like seller used it to ship your items..Pitney Bowes is the GSP..

Contact Paypal about it. Ebay did not charge you and so they did not scam you.

That doesn't make a sense,

I've payed separately for shipping which is included in ebay invoice, it states: 40.46 GBP.

Then I was charged again on my credit card 39.06 EUR.

Why if I have already payed for shipping?

It sounds like this item is being shipped through ebays global shipping program. (Gsp)  in those cases one payment us made to the seller for the price of the item plus the domestic shipping charge they have for shipping to the uk gsp Center.  The 2nd amount goes to PB and is for the international shipping portion and any import / service fees.  If you add the potion paid to the seller with the portion paid to PB it should be the correct total for the item on the listing plus shipping plus import fees (if any). It’s unlikely that you’ve overpaid...just that the total has been split into 2 portions.

No it was simply not split into 2 portions.

I was charged two times, with two separate charges from my credit card.

As you can see in invoice, this amount got deducted from my credit card.

Then I've recieved sms from my bank account that there was another charge of 35 GBP

ADDITIONAL charge which was not listed anywhere whatsoever prior to buying item.

Seller doesn't know about this anything I've asked him.

SO what was I charged 35 GBP for?

Do you actually see a charge of 990 gbp AND a charge of 35 gbp on your credit card?

The domestic shipping and international shipping is not shown as separate on the transaction so I an saying that your cc was charged 955gbp. and 35 gbp which totals 990.  But you see something different on your cc?

If the transaction took place on ebay.co.uk, post this on the UK discussion boards to make sure procedures for ebay.co.uk are the same as they are for ebay.com (mainly North America).

Not that the links below would necessarily apply in this case, but here are the links to the ebay.co.uk Resolution Centre, and UK PayPal where you would initiate a case (depending on your specific situation) for future reference:

If you would go back to your listing @van_damage you can see three charges:

168144iE0146F2231955AE0 (544×536)

1. The auction charge for the item

2. The postage for domestic shipping to the UK GSP shipping center

3. The Pitney Bowes charge, adjusted based on charge 1, for international shipping

We have no bahamas today.

I've already payed for international shipping so why i was charged again by bowens?

Why should i pay two times for international shipping?

From UK to EU?

That's nonsense and It never happened to me before with such transactions

This is UK to EU shipping,

I've payed 40 pounds for international shipping from UK to EU.

Why i was charged for additional 35 pounds? for what?

I'm not buying anything from USA and i'm not in USA buying from UK.

On listing there was clearly marked international shipping to Slovakia, 20 per item, so i've payed 40 pounds for two items.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING

SO what i'm paying additional 35 pounds for????

The seller in the UK is using the Global SHipping PRogram. The postage you paid to the seller is the shipping from the seller's home to the GSP location in the UK.

The second shipping charge is the shipping from the GSP location in the UK to your location. The seller did not receive that shipping money because they did not ship it to your county ... GSP shipped to your country.
