free returns

I purchased something from China. I was not what i expected.  I thought they were a fake at first but turns out just for a different model  Then i wo own. I requested a return - seller said he would offer return label - i had to send- and sent me his address- he was not paying to return i had to pay.  I told him it would cost $50.00 and up, to send this back to china. That is when he began to bully me bay e-mail. I had sent him pictures of what i wanted in my original dispute. He wanted to me to send pictures of my machine. The emails never stopped until he told me to take the dispute off and maybe they would give me a discount next time I ordered from them. LOL! I have had a few issues with buying from china - it takes so long for it to get here and the seller asks you to wait a little longer or they will re-send. Re: free returns

I'll explain how an international return is supposed to work.  If the item is not as described  and the buyer opens a return request the seller is  responsible for providing a return label.  But  overseas sellers usually  cannot provide a label for another postal service so the buyer has to let them know how much the label  with delivery confirmation will be and the seller can send money through Paypal.  If the seller does not do this then the buyer can contact ebay who will then contact the seller and give a deadline for proof that they have sent money for a return label.  If they don't do that, I think that a buyer will then be able to ask ebay to step in and they will be refunded. I'm not positive if there is an actual 'ask ebay to step in' link...the buyer may have to contact ebay about it.

Most international sellers do not offer free international returns so I'm not familiar with how that works if they don't send a label or money but I would guess that it works similar to an item not as described return request.  But since you have closed the return, there really aren't any options to have the seller pay for the return.
