forced to accept returns on my listing ?

Ive not listed a sale for while but on a recent listing I left the returns boxes unchecked but the Ebay would not let me list the item until I accepted  returns and checking both boxes.

Im pretty sure that that wasnt a requirement last time I sold something. If this is mandatory why have the check boxes in the first place ??

You just need to make a selection between 'no returns', '30 days' or '60 days' with either buyer paying return shipping or you offering 'free returns'. There is no more 14 day returns or re-stocking fees. Also selecting 'no returns' doesn't mean anything if a buyer files a SNAD return. You will always have to either refund without return or provide a return shipping label and then refund the buyer in full.

I sold a laptop under "no returns."

Further, the buyer of a laptop that I sold left positive feedback, said the transaction was "excellent" and the item was as exactly as described. Yet days later the buyer asks for a full refund and said the laptop - which was in excellent condition and tested by a MAC expert before we mailed it - said it never worked. ?  Now I am out about $300 plus shipping x2. I expect the item was damaged and now the buyer wants to return it. We feel we have been scammed. Will eBay support us?

@chilt346You already started your own thread on this, best to stay on your thread & post there instead of hijacking someon elses thread. Accept the return. Ebay will not support you on this.

I have every right to get the opinions from a variety of eBayers. Please be professional and don’t make personal attacks.

It’s not a personal attack @chilt346. It’s actually against the rules to post the same thing repetetivey. It’s in the community guidelines.

She is not attacking you ... also, she is correct in advising you to "just accept the return because eBay will not support you."
