I just received a return that was claimed as defective. I tested the item before I sold it and tested it again when it was returned. It operates perfectly. The buyer claimed it was defective to avoid paying return shipping charges. Now I'm stuck paying shipping twice. Is there anything I can do to get reimbursed for the shipping? Can I at least report the buyer some how? Ebay operates on a fair amount of trust and I'm losing a little bit my trust for the Ebay platform.

I would report the buyer for filing falsely, I doubt it'll do any good, but if there's enough sellers complaining about him then action may get taken. I'd call Ebay and see if you can at least get your return shipping back. There's no guarantee you will, but it won't hurt to try.

You can report the buyer but eBay will not do anything about it.

You get to eat it.

You can call eBay, tell them that they buyer abused the Money Back Guarantee, and that you should not be responsible for return shipping ... there are times that eBay will reimburse you as a "courtesy". You just have to figure out if it is worth your time.
To report a buyer, go to your orders page (all orders), find the item, and there will be an option on the drop-down list on the left that says "report a buyer".
