(I posted this last night but it is not longer here so I don't know what happened to my original post, frustrating.) Buyer selected USPS First Class Mail. Package weighs 1.5 oz in a box 12"X8"X8". eBay system won't let me buy a label for USPS First Class Mail for the amount she paid. I can't get to the original ship info I put in the listing because the web site won't let me but I'm pretty sure it is not far off from the actual weight and box size. Why would eBay allow the buyer to select USPS First Class Mail and calculate an amount but not let me purchase that label? Thanks for any help, I'm stuck. The labels I can purchase are double what buyer paid. Thanks again for any insight.

Your screen show shows a weight of 1 pound, 5 ounces. eBay doesn't accommodate fractions or decimals on their label form. Change the "1" to zero, and change the "5" to 2. USPS rounds up weights, so 1.5 ounces ships at the 2-ounce rate. (Actually the price is the same up through 4 ounces).
For those dimensions, probably your package actually weighs 1 pound 5 ounces, so it is too heavy to ship as a First Class package.
Here is your thread from yesterday; I clicked on your ID in this post, to see your other posts.
If you need to check the original listing data, go to the listing and click on "Sell similar" to bring up a listing form with your original details.

Here's your previous post. >> eBay not providing lable for amount it caculated f... - The eBay Community
Silly question... but in a 12" x 12" x 8" box your package still only weighs and ounce-and-a-half?
Only asking because I don't see anything you've sold that would be that light. 🤔

Your most recent Sold listing, that ended on June 4, for the Johnson Bros creamer, is showing calculated postage for a package weighing 13 - 15.99 ounces. So if your package actually weighs over 1 pound, then apparently you made a mistake when setting up the listing. You can't ask your buyer to pay for your error; you have to pay the postage difference yourself.

i suspect that creamer doesn't weight ONLY 1.5 ounces, so it is probably 1 lb 5 ounces (which is too heavy for first class)...you setup your initial listing incorrectly
ooops, just saw @nobody*s_perfect post....which is correct....

Thanks everyone! Yes, I must have marked the package as weighing only a pound in my original listing instead of 1 pound 5 oz. Even better deal for her and another expensive lesson on shipping for me 😞 The shipping is the hardest part!!!

Sorry, I wasn't clear. the box weighs 1 pound 5 oz. Can't use First Class Mail for that weight. Uhg

Oh thank you for all your tips! Sorry, I meant it weighs 1 pound 5 oz. So, too heavy to ship First Class Mail. Uhg!

Yes... shipping is one of the hardest skills to master here. Consider this lesson continued on-the-job training. 🙌

Yes, another expensive shipping lesson learned 😞 thank you for your help! 🪴

"Yes... shipping is one of the hardest skills to master here."
Indeed!
I send out little wishes every time I print a shipping label wishing that the engineers who code the listing shipping area would get together with the engineers who code the shipping label area and do something absolutely insane - like give us the exact same things to choose from in both places.
I know consistency is seen as insanity for some reason, and it's a silly dream, but a girl can still dream.
As the song goes: If wishes were horses, then dreamers would ride!

haha, so true!

It's exhausting I have to say 😕 🙂

Yes, I messed up. Bummer!

that is the proper attitude....most people blame ebay LOL
kudos...and remember, shipping is too often overlooked.....
seems like when you get to the bottom of the page you just want to get it over with
I have seen items I "would" buy if the shipping wasn't so outrageous.....
Charging 14.00 for Parcel Select or 24.80 for Weighted Priority when it would easily ship in an $8.30 padded flat rate envelope....when I inquire to the seller, they say "well, it weighs 5 lbs and that's what ebay charges me"
lost sale......
