I printed a couple labels before ever noticing that suggestion eBay has posted about considering a different carrier other than USPS ... I actually heard about it at the Post Office from a Postal Clerk .... THEY ARE LIVID!!!!
The solution is for eBay to DELAY Item not received claims from being processed by Buyers AND put a big note on the eBay Cart about expecting longer deliveries with ALL carriers NOT just USPS.
Gee, that would be common sense thing to do ... is that eBay's CYA statement so they can side with Buyers on INR claims in their never ending ongoing agenda to "Enhance the Buying experience by letting Buyers get as much as they can for free?

I was seriously considering switching to Fed Ex with all this media coverage but then read that the whole chain of postal service is heavily reliant on USPS as the go between. I’d end up spending more, maybe still have delays. Also, I do not want to play along with the bosses party to bankrupt USPS. Most ours our stuff is getting there great so far.

That's crazy. For those of us who sell lightweight, lower-cost items, there is no alternative to the USPS for cost-effective delivery. And I'm sure eBay knows it.

If Ebay wont do that at chechout, then I send a note to all my customers warning them there may be delays and that most stuff is getting there without extremely lengthy delays and to please be patient and contact me if they need any assistance in doing a trace if nessesary.

Yeah I mentioned the situation to our postmaster here and he shook his head and said “why don’t they put on hold on these INR’s for the time being.”

The solution is to support USPS by giving them our business.
As I've said before, I refuse to play any role in the destruction of America's oldest and most cherished institution for partisan political purposes. It's also destruction of a public good for private gain, AT MY EXPENSE.
What is happening in the USPS and to the USPS is, in a word, insane.
How will "user experience" be when we don't have a national mail service and the average small package costs $9 to ship instead of $3?
One word. Insane. And for what? So other people can get rich at my expense and so other people can maintain political power at my expense.
Yeah. No.
The destruction of USPS was previously unimaginable. What other unimaginable things await us if it is successful? I have zero interest in finding out.

Notice that the stock price of both UPS and FedEx are up around 15% in the last week.
Vultures are circling.

I just read that is USPS customers start dumping all their packages on them they are going to be in big trouble as well. Reading that THEY are also having record long delivery times due to COVID and late packages. Dump USPS packages on them and there you go LATE, NO MATTER HOW YOU SLICE IT.

I am getting tired of reading about these investors who destroy companies to make money on the stock market. Anybody here like that?

Why does everybody else sees the OBVIOUS solution except eBay?

Absolutely agree aldente28, I still find that the post office is by far the best deal anywhere, and our government needs to protect it. They are desperate for new jeeps all across America (and not those Craig list scams) hire more and protect their workers and not rob their pension fund. When they came out with Priority flat rate boxes and forever stamps, that sealed the deal for me, I always use the USPS.

I saw that funky disclaimer this morning. Then I dismissed it. I'm still getting great USPS service.

They see it. They know it. They just don't care.
