In many places such as apartment buildings with concierge/doorman, townhouse complexes with a management office, freight forwarders, buildings with mailrooms, etc USPS will deliver to the building's mail "agent" and this has always registered a "delivered" status on the eBay orders page.

That is it used to until about 2-1/2 months ago. Now those orders are stuck as "shipped" as the system is not recognizing that packages were delivered. When you click the tracking pop-up it's stuck at "it's on its way to the buyer" and "was scheduled" for delivery on X date.

I've reported the issue multiple times, but I'm wondering if others here are seeing the same problem?

Hey devon@ebay - can you get the shipping and/or seller hub teams working on this? If you need order numbers or screenshots to reference I can send an e-mail.

Hey devon@ebay - posts from @gear-house, @gurlcat above plus another post from @1tuna show that eBay's been working on this, but the results are really messed up.

Now the tracking pop-up on eBay shows 'available for pickup' on these orders instead of 'delivered', and the progress bar is still stuck on 'in transit'.

Can you please ask the shipping team for some info here? Hoping this is not considered "fixed" by them yet and rather a work in progress with some unintended results. Can we expect to see this fixed in the near future?

There are two things that really upset me about this: 1) my funds are being held up awaiting a delivery that according to eBay will never actually happen 2) this is ripe for abuse from people claiming they never received anything, thus getting away with both the goods and the money.

I really don't want to end up like others on here who got ripped off when buyers claimed the item didn't arrive. If this isn't resolved I'll definitely consider ending my eBay sales as there are plenty other options available nowadays...

Your funds are being held on that waiting for some next step??! That's terrible. There will not be another tracking update, that package is delivered and done. Wow.

I'm also having a glitch problem with some earrings I shipped almost 2 weeks ago, it shows it was delivered just a few days after shipping, but still on my ebay page telling me to ship them, when they have already been delivered I keep checking my shipping status to make sure I don't get dinged for the glitch

Wait, ebay doesn't even acknowledge that you shipped AT ALL? Does it not show any scans at all? Does it at least show the (correct) tracking number? If you entered it by hand, you might have typed one digit incorrectly.

An additional update:

I spoke with eBay customer service today on the phone and they told me they're opening a ticket to try and resolve this "waiting for pickup" status when it really has been delivered "to an agent." I haven't seen any change of status yet, but I imagine it will be awhile. I also don't know if this is being investigated on a case by case basis or across the board. If anything changes on my end, I'll provide an update.

I have three items with this issue. All to the same buyer, who clearly is trying to scam me out of nearly $1300 with eBay's help. I have contacted their local USPS and have confirmed that the packages were all delivered. PLEASE FIX THIS ISSUE!

Just wanted to say thank you so very much for sticking with us all this time and trying to help us resolve this issue. Didn't want this thread to be just "Hey Devon this is the problem I'm having etc". I'm sure I speak for many of us that we are very appreciative and recognize all your efforts. Sorry to see what you have to go through. This must be very vexxing for you as other than the large amount of money, the feeling of being victimized is the worst. I had to get my local post office to write a similar letter many years ago to get my money back from eBay many years ago so I feel for ya.

Hi Devon,

How long does it take to be changed to "Delivered?"

I have 3 statuses, which still show as "The item is ready for pick up." for 6 days since they were changed from "Delivered to Agent for Final Delivery."

So some good news for those of your dealing with this issue because the buyer gave you a freight forwarding address. It seems eBay customer service will close cases on this in favor of you if you dispute it because as long as the package got to the address the buyer gave you then you did your job as a seller.

I am dealing with this right now to a freight forward customer. Customer had already opened an INR b/c of a USPS mess up. So, I was relieved that it was delivered but.. now what? I have to close out the INR case or get a defect , so I am hoping it shows "delivered" soon.
Is this even worth calling ebay over? Tech teams, please continue to work on this.
