USPS Ground Advantage is getting really slow in a lot of cases recently. Customers prefer it because it is inexpensive, but they get very upset when it takes 2 to 4 weeks to deliver.
Anyone else thing eBay should change the delivery time for Ground Advantage from 2 to 5 days, to something more realistic such as 5 to 15 days?
Doing so would end the premature "item not received" claims and give customers a more realistic delivery time when they are making a shipping selection.

So you're saying that every single one of your orders takes up to 2 weeks for delivery? Or was this just a handful of orders that this had happened too. Ground advantage does indeed take 2-5 days. Very very rarely does it take any longer than that. I may have had 1 or 2 issues where it got caught up but that's bound to happen every now and again.

We agree. We have had some items delivered in that 5 day window and others take as much as two weeks. Now they have a "Stalled" term that lets you item sit some place on its way to its next destination.
It has been frustrating for sellers and buyers. It is hard for them to advertise 3 to 5 days when that is not always true. JMHO
Have a great weekend.

Have you thought of switching to UPS Ground for some or all of your shipments? I use Pirateship and I notice that the cost between the to are minimal and in some cases UPSis few Pennie’s cheaper.

Not all, but a fairly high percentage that isn't acceptable IMO. In the last 30 days, I've had 3 USPS GA packages get stalled out of 15 total. One was sent to PR for a delivery in NM which makes no sense at all. I shipped on Feb 15 and it still has not delivered to ABQ although it is back stateside and still in transit with a scan today in fact. Customer already put in a claim and eBay refunded in full.

Thanks for the tip! I've not heard of Pirateship will check them out.

Ground Advantage been nothing but a mess .

raise it to 30 days. this is to make sure that the buyer does not have the item and the refund. even if one item has a problem that is to many. most of my items that I buy I do not care if they arrive in a month or two.

Ground advantage is grinding to a halt. I have one over 2 weeks late. It has been sitting 5 miles from my house for 3 days without moving. I shudder to think how horrible the USPS is going to be after they fire more workers.

You either have to sync your eBay account with Pirateship or update the tracking manually on eBay. It's very user-friendly though.
UPS has its own set of issues (like debiting your account after-the-fact because your small package was sitting on a larger pkg and the scanner on the conveyor only read your label and the larger pkgs dimensions/weight. You have to fight to get your money back, but it's doable.)
Also, some UPS services use USPS on the last leg of delivery - but for some reason, those items end up delivered on time. If only USPS could take their regular people customers as seriously as they take their corporate delivery contracts with UPS and Amazon, they'd be more reliable like they used to be.

I been asking sellers if they can ship UPS or Priority mail before I bid or do the BIN. I'm willing to pay extra to avoid ground advantage .

Ebay also gives sellers 30 days to ship! What a joke! How hard is it to package something and ship it out?

eBay gives sellers the amount of handling time the seller set out in the listing.
If the delivery date is too far out, find another seller either a quicker turn around time.

When you google ebay sellers shipping times, its for them all. I think
