eBay listings removed - unauthorized user of buyer or bidder account

Hello,

I recently put a camera up for sale at a slightly lower than average price because my intention was to sell it quickly. Naturally, It did sell and since it was under the "buy it now" option only, the person paid first. I then ship out the item, only to find a message from eBay informing me that the purchase was "unauthorized" by the buyer and it said the following:

All associated fees have been credited to your account. In these situations, we'll credit the final value fee for removed listings won by this buyer, and also the insertion fee if it was a single-quantity listing.

- We have credited any associated fees to your account.

I don't really understand what this means but the amount paid for the still remains "on hold" in my account. The person didn't contact me or anything and in my listing, I specified that I did not offer returns. Should I be worried at all? I contacted eBay and the consumer rep told me that I was fine as long as the buyer had already paid, but I figured I might also ask actual users on their experience with this kind of thing.

Thanks in advance

had a few of these in the last two weeks, buyer told me that his ebay and paypal accounts were hacked.  He did not make the purchase, and the address that was in paypal and the address which I sent the item to was not his.  He opened an unauthorized use of his credit card with his credit card company and Paypal has opened a case against me.  Paypal states that since I sent the item to the address in Paypal I am covered under their buyer protection, but may take up to 75 days to close case.  I think this is a major problem that nobody is talking about.

This has happened to me before. Since then I make sure and glance near the address in the label where it states whether the address is confirmed and the sale is eligible for protection.  In my case, I was credited back the amount simply by calling paypal a couple times. You won't be responsible as long as the account was a confirmed account.  Most people are great to deal with but once in a while you get a rotten apple out there. Sorry that happened to you.

You should be cover by PayPal seller protection. If a chargeback is opened on PayPal, simply supply the requested information along with the tracking number proving delivery and wait.

I just got one of these. Shipped the item June 3rd tracking shows delivered to Calif. on June 5th and waits until July 11th to say never ordered the item. Over 5 weeks after delivered. Was a new buyer account the day before they ordered. Will be calling paypal to see what will be done. Is this a new theft scam?

Called paypal and the address had seller protection. They released the hold on the funds and we discussed this about when if not seeing seller protection by the address when printing a shipping label that a person could or maybe should cancel the sale. They didn't understand that can cause a defect. Ebay needs to make a cancel line item for this scenario. Bet they get right on that?
