Did you mean:

eBay allows sellers to cheat

The item I've ordered for six months ago still didn't arrive.

I've contacted the seller several times and they've asked me to wait some more time as they promised to solve the issue asap... but the item still didn't arrive after six months.

I've also reported to eBay, but they closed my case after several days of "inactivity".

Now anytime I try to reopen the case on eBay I get the message:
We're sorry, there are no items that match your search... Please try again.

So, the seller got the money, didn't deliver the item and eBay simply don't care.

Order number: 174131508324-2190140691007
Order date: 05 Aug, 2020

No more eBay for me as long as this issue is not resolved.

Greed is real, people. And, for the person who replied with senselessly telling me ebay is a for profit organization,  blah blah blah, clearly you don't

understand the definition of greed. Two year old level of what greed is:

Eat appropriate amount. Anything more makes you GREEDY!!!

EBAY WON'T STARVE IF IT STOPS DOUBLE CHARGING SELLERS . . . GREED!!!

If fools don't learn they lose: that is both seller and purchasers.

Both learn the hard way instead of finding out what problems exist prior to the situation.

All the info to protect one self is available on eBay.

Search of the net would also tell folks of such problems.

We on the boards see this all the time.

Hey they even blame eBay when it is on some other site...

We are blunt to the point and move on to the next.  It may not be to your satisfaction what is posted.

Usually is not if the user lost.

Stick around and read:

Don't like the posts:

find a way to aid the users that come asking questions and help them if you can.

That is what these boards are for.

Re: eBay allows sellers to cheat

There is only 60 days to leave feedback you're well beyond that time limit.  Again you being unfamiliar with the protection program allowed this to happen.

We are not understanding why the buyer didn't read the MBG policy and then use it to get their money back.

They still refuse to read it.

Mistakes were made, they should own them and do better next time.

Re: eBay allows sellers to cheat

Anytime I've had a case it says in the case details how long I have to escalate the case for eBay to decide.  Has this changed ?   Been a little while since I had to open one.

No, it hasn't. It's right there for the buyer to see

Re: eBay allows sellers to cheat

Last time I looked karma had nothing to do with a seller scamming someone with a perfect buyers feedback out of money. Karma would be someone like yourself getting scammed.

Re: eBay allows sellers to cheat

eBay pretty much gives step by step instructions that goes something like this

"  If you don't get a satisfactory resolution from seller you can return  (date) and request eBay to step in"

Sorry outcome is on you

PLEASE  do yourself a favor and read the eBay's MBG  policy IF you decide to continue using eBay

How long did you think eBay was going to allow you to respond?

Maybe you should try shopping at B&M

I understand and we've seen it before and we'll see it again.

I hate when buyers get taken by shady sellers as much as everyone else.

OP keeps blaming Ebay, when it was the seller that tricked the OP into waiting until the case time out.

Ebay has the tool to use when something goes wrong, but it's up to the users to learn how to use the tool.

Have a great day.

Re: eBay allows sellers to cheat

Thanks for your elaborated answer, but I'm now unable to give any feedback or to report the seller, since the feedback button is no longer shown on that purchase and ebay only sends me to a page showing my latest successful purchase while hiding the fraudulent one.

Re: eBay allows sellers to cheat

The only info I saw was that the seller has 3 business days to answer my question, which the seller complied.
Never saw any info about any time limit for me to escalate.

I've filled a complaint on PayPal and they clearly showed the expire date for me to escalate, so I did.
Hope I get refund via PayPal.

Glad you were able to open a case with Pay Pay, remember, don't let the seller try to stall, because the case will time out just like on Ebay.

Have a great day.
