I've been listed trading cards recently and for all of them have been using the eBay Standard Envelope option, which is great. That said I noticed I used it for a card that I listed for a little over $20. My question is, if I have that listed and the item sells for more than $20, what happens? If the $20 piece is a kind of insurance(IE they will only pay up to $20) and I can still use it then I think I'll do that as at worst I'd be out only a couple bucks.
If not and/or it doesn't let me use that option even though I have it set on the listing, what's the closest comparable option? Depending on what that looks like I may just lower my selling price a bit and still use the Standard Envelope option.
Thanks!

I ended up selling that card and found out, even though you can select it on listing you are locked out from choosing it for the item. It's a shame really because it's just a couple of bucks over, ah well. I'll probably drop by USPS tomorrow and see what options they have.

Does anyone have a solution for this? The single item price limit of $20 should be changed to $50. I can use the eBay Standard envelope system to ship 3 coins which combined cost is $49 and combined weight is less than 3 ounces, but I cannot use the system to ship 1 coin which costs $21 and weighs less than 1 ounce. I'd like to see eBay adjust the per item cost limit from $20 to $50. |
