Resolved! How do I account for an item that I will deliver myself with no tracking number?

I sold an item and the buyer lives near me so I will drive it to his house, how or what do I do to prove the buyer excepted the item I delivered when there is no tracking number, have the buyer sign a receipt? Thanks, bubba
