Is anyone having issues buying a label through eBay Standard Delivery?

I have tried several times to purchase the label but it keeps coming up with an error that says 'It was not possible to generate the label. Something is wrong. Please try again later.'

Is there a fix for this? This package has to go out in the morning.

The problem is your package exceeds allowable dimensions @craigsdieselrepair so you cannot use EISD to ship. Max is 84" length+girth. Your package is 87" length+girth.

What is eBay Standard Delivery?

I know about eBay Standard Envelope, and eBay Standard International Delivery; but I'm not familiar with the term "eBay Standard Delivery."

Make sure that your account is actually set up for international sales.

Is this an item that may be prohibited from being shipped to certain countries?

What is the item, and to which country is it being sent?

It's a One Direction (music band) cardboard cutout. It's going to Australia. The buyer has paid. I've tried to purchase the label several times but I keep getting the error.

Did you enter the weight properly, adding up to the nearest pound?

Did you enter the package dimensions for the package?

Were you offering other international shipping options that might be countering eBay Standard International Delivery?

It seems to me it used to show up as an option  as did economy shipping when creating a listing but it never made any sense to me as they are not real shipping options as in the end you have to choose an actual option

Did you change the shipping choice to a more definable option? ie ground advantage , priority

Buyer chose Priority Mail International but only because I didn't find out how to add the eBay International option until after she made the purchase. But the buyer actually wanted the cheapest option due to the shipping price is so high. So once I saw the option on the shipping label page, I wanted to use the eBay international, then give the buyer a partial refund on the shipping she paid. She could save $30 by my using eBay International.

In the past, I was able to purchase an eBay International label even though buyer chose a different method. I had no idea that you had to disable International shipping methods in order to give the buyer this option.

Buyer chose Priority International due to I didn't know how to add eBay International to the listing before she made the purchase (I found out after she made the purchase). But she wanted the absolute cheapest option so when I went to purchase the label I saw that the eBay International is $30 cheaper than Priority Mail. I wanted to use this option and give the buyer a partial refund. But it's giving me the error saying to try again later. I really hope they haven't made it so you can't use eBay International if buyer chose a different option. I've used eBay International many times in the past when buyer chose First Class International (since I didn't know how to add eBay International to the listing) with no problems.

It's crazy to force Priority when the buyer can save $30 and the delivery date is pretty much the same!

Is eBay Standard International delivery still available? I know they are phasing it out.

Yeah it's an option on the shipping labels page. I think you have to turn off all other methods of International shipping in order for eBay International to be an option for the buyer during their check out.

What are the package dimensions @craigsdieselrepair ?

EISD limits:

  1. Nothing greater than 44 lbs. for every country except CA (CA max is 66 lbs.)- billable weight (not actual).
  2. Packages exceeding 84 inches in Length + Girth are NOT permitted

As I asked on your other post about this: did you check the address to see if any line exceeds 40 characters?

To @heckofagame : EISD is still available but will be discontinued in the near future.

I checked the address and it's good. The package weight is 4lbs and dimensions are 29x27x2. It says CODE: PAID in the 2nd address line (with some numbers and letters above the paid code). I checked the order page and it looks like the buyer paid customs tax through eBay. Maybe that's why it won't allow me to use a different shipping service?

I wish they'd stop making all of these changes without notice.
