I purchased an item from the UK to be shipped to the US through the global shipping program. The item is stuck in US customs because one form is missing. UPS, the US carrier, has reached out twice to resolve with no response. I have contacted eBay three times this week and the seller has contacted them twice. It has now been 5 days and still no form and nothing resolved.
Today, I called again and at this point I’m told all I can do is request a refund. I thought when you use the global shipping program you were also paying for a service to ensure everything is taken care of as far as customs?
I still want the item, but I seem powerless to get this resolved.
Any suggestions?

That's weird, over the years I've purchased tons of stuff from EU and Asian sellers both on eBay and off, never had anything stuck in Customs. What was it you bought?

A chess set.

If it's the Dr Who one it looks very nice.
It would be a shame if that delivery was messed up.

That it is.

I wonder if someone doesn't think the pieces are made of ivory? Have you gotten a notice from Customs?

It is because the chess board is made of wood that a TSCA form is required. However, one has not been supplied for 5 days.
