hello, i sold an item and when i went to package it to ship i noticed a chip. i emailed the buyer offering to cancel or ship it anyway and they have not answered. it has been several days. should i ship it now or cancel the transaction?

I would cancel. You run the risk of a return for item not as described

Yes I would agree and cancel this sale due to damage. Send a message thru ebay and politely explain the situation and if you have another item like it snap a pic and offer that to them. If you were to ship this chipped item chances are it will arrive with more damage to it. Good luck!

Unless the buyer agrees to cancel the transaction you will receive a defect on your selling account if you go a head and cancel the transaction. That is not the end of the world unless you already have some. The defect will go away eventually.
I cancelled an order for a similar reason and wore my "Scarlet Letter" for a year. But felt I did the right thing and Life Is Still Good.
It is you call on what to do.
