combined shipping requires 2 boxes

My buyer purchased 3 different years of a magazine. I combined the shipping to same the buyer money. I purchased a label, but the purchase requires 2 boxes. How do I purchase a second label when the site tells me I "already purchased a shipping label for this order."

I believe ebay is just splashing that warning up to prevent sellers from making a mistake. It shouldn't prevent you from actually purchasing another label (at least that's the way I remember it. It's been a while.)

Return to your shipping label page and look for  link that says "Purchase additional label for this order". It will be a second tracking number.

Ignore the warning and use the drop-down menu to 'Purchase another label'. Love your moniker, @puckfandan1!

Little unclear on your post. Were these three separate items your buyer purchased and you are combining shipping or were these three separate items you combined into one item, in essence a customized listing for your buyer. You have a couple options depending on the particular situation.

Get a bigger box would be one. You should be able to get all 36 issues into a single box. There are a dozen places you can pickup boxes. I believe you are shipping the mag's priority mail which allows up to 70 pounds.

If the label covers the dimensions and weight for both packages go into your labels and reprint the label. There is something about doing this but I cannot remember specifically what it is but it relates to the boxes being identifiable as box 1 of 2 and box 2 of 2 so the PO does not think you are simply trying to use the same label over and over.

If you need to purchase another label you can always use another service provider like Pirate Ship and then upload the tracking information into the other order.

Personally I would just pickup a bigger box which should be less than the cost of another label.
