can i file a USPS claim for a lost Priority Mail shipment through eBay?

I shipped an item with Priority Mail, package was lost in transit, eBay has issued a credit to the buyer.  Can I process a USPS claim through eBay?

You process the claim thru the USPS, Ebay didnt lose your pkg.
