buyer claims address on order is not hers and item delivered to someone else

here  is the short story...

buyer orders a vintage hat box  2/2/21 (

address and name on order is for a person in Minnesota

item is delivered to  person & address in Minnesota 2/6/21

Buyer contacts us today says she ordered the hat box  2/2 but that she lives in Nevada and it shows delivered 2/6 to another person in another place.... her name is NOT the name on the order..... it shows delivered Minnesota and  she has NO idea who that person is or how the Minnesota address is on her account. 

We buy labels through eBay... so we ship to the exact address provided on the order..we do not retype or alter shipping info.on the order. I checked today and the item shows delivered to the name and address on the order, but this buyer swears it is not her.

I suggested she contact eBay in case her account may have been compromised...any suggestions or has anyone had a similar issue???

You should be covered. If the buyers account was hacked, that's on her.  Tell her to go to the Security Center and ask for a call back for a hacked account, if you haven't already. Keep paper copies of everything.
