I will never use eBay again. ..no customer service# no number to the delivery service messages blocked to send to online customer service. I'm done w eBay. All this **bleep** to try and get a simply unit # to add to address. Instead I've emailed ten different ways including the post office. So complicated ...and I'm a simple life girl. But taking my money was easy as pie. I'm done w eBay and never again will I use this service .. buyers and sellers beware. Simple things for some reason are not so simple. ...and this cannot be ... Good bye eBay for good

Are you saying you did not receive a purchase? If so, file an item not received case in the resolution center. Link at bottom of page.  If that says it's too late to file, then log into paypal and file with them.  That will only be a problem if more then 30 days passed after the last expected delivery date.  If your issue is some other problem, come back and explain. We can often help.

You forgot to add a unit # or apartment # to your address on eBay and therefore did not receive a package?

And this would be the fault of eBay?

You can't make changes to your shipping address after you pay.  If you left the unit # off that is not the seller's fault.  If the seller left the unit # off then if it's not received file a not received dispute.

the smartest thing eBay can do is get a GOOD NUMBER LISTED FOR THE DELIVERY SERVICE BECAUSE THEY DO NOT HAVE ONE. ! OR AT LEAST GET A CUSTOMER SERVICE NUMBER TO FIX SIMPLE PROBLEMS! BETTER YET ...SEND CUSTOMERS EMAILS OR EVEN A MESSAGE THAT A PACKAGE SHALL BE ARRIVING TO ITS DESTINATION TO AVOID THINGS LIKE A POST OFFICE RETURNING IT TO A SENDER!! AND YES, I FORGOT TO PUT A UNIT NUMBER ON AN ADDRESS ....BUT I DIDNT REALIZE CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS SO FAR BENEATH YOU EBAY. I CAN ONLY IMAGINE WHAT I AM GOING TO HAVE TO GO THROUGH TO GET MY MONEY BACK. BUT IF THESE ITEMS FAIL TO ARRIVE (AGAIN) REST ASSURE IVE DONE THIS MUCH WORK....I WILL DO MUCH MORE TO GET MY MONEY BACK IF I HAVE TO. NEVER AGAIN. USE FED EX ....ITS MUCH MORE SIMPLE. GET IT TOGETHER EBAY. I WAS ABOUT TO DROP 200 ON YOUR WEB FOR ADDITIONAL ITEMS I FEEL I NO LONGER NEED. BRINGS ME GREAT SADNESS YOUR SERVICE HAS TURNED TO WHAT I ALMOST FEEL AS A FRAUD. AND NEVER AGAIN WILL I USE IT

It is your responsibility to enter a complete SHIP TO address for your purchases.  If the seller is using ebay labels, it will display the SHIP TO address you entered.  If you left off the unit # or apartment #, and the package has shipped, there is nothing the seller or post office can do.  If the package is undeliverable because of an incomplete address, the package will be returned to the seller.

If you took the tracking number and tracked it at USPS, you maybe able instruct them to hold for pick up if you knew ahead of time that the unit #/apt # is missing.

Just to add I see you are new to eBay as of 12/2019

It is possible you lack the clear understanding of how transactions are done here

Did you read  customer information eBay provides in site?

Regardless

good luck shopping on line

I have had this a lot since the pandemic hit, new accounts or people cranking up old accounts with outdated info and message me after its shipped asking me to change address.....understandable as in a rush to get stuff delivered they dont want to leave the house for or cant cause of the lockdown. Its already shipped so no can do!

Your package will return to your seller.

You can ask them to re-ship and offer to pay postage.

I understand its frustrating but be nice and don't rip anyone's head off for your own mistake.

The smartest thing you can do is learn how to shop online. If you input the wrong address information, that is information that the Shipper (post office) or Ebay, would NOT have anything to do with and would NOT be able to fix. Transactions are between you (the buyer) and your seller. Sellers lose their protections if they do not ship to the address that you put as your address. They would have to cancel the order and you would have to repurchase- if this were all 'caught' before the seller shipped the item.

Ebay is a 'facilitating' website, one that only provides a format allowing outside sellers to show their wares and for buyers to purchase. Ebay does not ship and does not have an avenue for customers to 'fix' their errors. Again- between you and your seller.

In the future, if you input wrong address,  just about anywhere you shop, you will not be able to fix it once it's shipped.

I recommend phoning the destination PO with the tracking number and situation.  They will at least try to help.

I can imagine all sorts of fraudulent activity if they made adding or changing apartment numbers or trailer lots easy.   The shipping address is part of the legal transaction that is a sale and utmost care is taken to maintain it's integrity.

@lamart-7060

Even if you could reach CS, they wouldn't be able to change your address after you paid.

If you didn't use the correct address, you need to contact the seller and let them know.

Have a great day.

Sure, blame eBay for your ignorance to check your shipping address. For once, it is not eBay`s fault. Changing address is not allowed to protect both buyers and sellers. We don`t know who is behind some letters, and what are real intentions are.

When the item gets back to the seller, just pay to reship it to the correct address.

And if it only the unit # you are claiming you needed to add, then call your local post office, provide them with the tracking, and ask to watch out for your package.

you do realize that ebay isn't a store. Each seller is just a person at home selling things online. Ebay can't control that you didn't put your address in right. They also would have no way to fix that issue. The only way is if you realized it before it was shipped and messaged the seller of the item and they were able to change it before being mailed. Also each seller chooses which shipping method they use. It's in the shipping description when making a purchase. So if you want it shipped via fedex find a seller that uses that method and pay for that choice (it normally costs more)
