Easy way to package and ship large size  work  boots and sneakers

Were it me, I'd grab some USPS Large Flat Rate boxes (if 12 1/2" x 12" x 6" would work) for boots; maybe USPS Medium Flat Rate boxes (if 11 1/4" x 8 3/4" x 6" would work) for sneakers. Flat Rate might be cheaper than the 'per #' Priority rate.
