I got a not as described return, buyer states the jeans have blown out holes which they dont like. However the listing states the jeans are distressed and covered in holes. I also provided many close up photos. So I called ebay and they said they would change it to a "buyer remorse return" which was fantastic! They instructed me to accept the return but no to proceed past the page where you authorize a shipping label. Well a day passes and I still see that it is a not as described return and it's waiting on me to send them a label. So I call back ebay and this time I get unhelpful person who states I have to wait until the 18th and escalate the return so ebay can step in. She assured me this would not hurt my ebay rating HOWEVER last time i had ebay step in they didnt read any of the notes and sided with the buyer which hurt my "cases closed without seller resolution" rating because it looked like I couldnt work things out with the buyer.
So....what I am asking is if anyone else has any experience with this? The last thing I want is a damaged seller rating because ebay had to step in make a decision.

eBay is lying to you.
Send the buyer a return label.

There are no notes, eBay is lying. You now are in a pickle, you're going to have to issue a return shipping label. There is no way to change a SNAD case to a buyers remorse case.
Remember the rules:
- EBay CS Rep's are less then knowledgeable (i.e. don’t trust what they say)
- Do NOT let a case Timeout
- Do NOT ask eBay to "Step in" (aka “help you” aka escalate)
- ALWAYS get the reference number of the phone call, mark down the date and time
- If the eBay CS Rep claims to have put notes in the case, have them emailed to you.
- Never escalate a case unless you can get eBay to close it in your favor right then and there.
Do NOT let the case time out, do NOT ask eBay to "Step in" (aka help you, escalate or any other cute word). You are on the fast path to a defect. Get on the phone and speak to a US rep (no accent) and insist they close the return in your favor WHILE YOUR ON THE PHONE with them. The problem you have is you have accepted the return. Once that has been done, you have to take the return.

You also have a return policy. If you have ANY return policy, eBay expects you to accept the return. Even if its a fraudulent SNAD claim. Your best return policy is a "No Returns" policy, but that's hard to have if you sell clothing.

Listen to phcdi
Wish I had. Had an even worse false SNAD. Was convinced they were going to get buyer to pay return shipping as buyer should have.
2 CS told me the same thing. They would step in after 3 days get buyer to pay return shipping. I quote "Don't do anything" we will take care of it. Instead got defect, lost FVF and paid the shipping anyhow.
Jeans should be easy to ship and resell. You will get back your FVF by accepting return also.

I think your right, all the headache isnt worth a $4.10 return shipping label and a not as described case on my record. It's better than a "cases closed without seller resolution". Think im just going to move forward with sending them a shipping label and then BLOCKED! Does anyone know how a "not as described case" effects your seller rating?

It doesn't (unless its not resolved), defects do! You can have a maximum of 0.3% of eBay Money Back Guarantee or PayPal Purchase Protection closed cases without seller resolution (which is not much for a small seller) and then you may be banned for life from selling on eBay.
