Will USPS Ground Advantage be considered a 'standard' or 'economy' service?

The two services being merged are currently considered different levels of service by eBay.

First Class Package is 'standard' while Parcel Select is 'economy'.

I imagine that it will be a standard service due to shipping timeframe, and they are merging 3 services not 2, parcel select, retail ground, and 1st class.  we will still get a discount on smaller packages under 1lb, i have seen the rates, there actually a bit cheaper.  not sure how it will work with larger packages as we did not get a discount with Parcel select and retail ground.  So the the handling time will be 2-5 days for all and will also include insurance up to 100 dollars when before the shipping time was longer and we never had insurance for free on any of those 3 services. so should be a good thing!!! We will need to change our listings but we have 30 days to change them. even if someone buys before you change them it will still work but will print at advantage service.  you can also bulk edit shipping service now. i hope that works cause i have a lot of stuff with 1st class shipping. if you have parcel select as your main service it will automatically change but will need to manually change 1st class and retail ground.

Doesn't really matter because ALL services take HOWEVER long they take; and NONE of the services have been Expedited or Economy or Slow or Super Slow and overall....buyers really don't know the difference. 

I've had 1st Class get 2500 miles away FASTER than Priority and that has been the case of 100's of shipments. 

But...you will see when it 'arrives' as to 'which' one it is categorized in.

I find am asking myself the same question as I consider updating my business policies.  Let's see if we can ask eBay staff.

"It's Standard, 2-5 day service, no change from what FCPS, PSG and RG is today. This is outlined in the USPS GA description which is linked here."

Hey elizabeth@ebay. A year ago USPS shortened the delivery time for PSG & RG to 2-5 biz days, but eBay still has that service under "economy" - they never moved it under "standard."

Since eBay said they'll be auto-updating PSG to GA but they will not be updating FC, it's obvious why sellers would be asking whether eBay will stick GA under economy or standard services on the listing form / biz policy form.

Hey @wastingtime101. They've confirmed that we will move the service to Standard when GA rolls out on 7/9.
