I had to return an item, but could not print an eBay return label, so sent it back on my own dime with tracking. Seller is now claiming they didn’t get it. On the USPS web site it shows delivered to seller. When I go to the Resolution Center, nothing shows as per the return case I opened. I don’t know where to go to put in the tracking number to prove that I did send it, and so eBay can see that the seller did get it back. Can anyone help me?

Did Ebay close the case?

The eBay Resolution Center is supposed to list any "return request" you've started in the last 18 months. But because this is eBay, you won't see the "return request" you started.
Instead, look for your return request here at the bottom, then click See case details. But you won't be able to add the return tracking number because this is eBay. Rather, you'll have to c

No, I had until 10/7 to return item. Seller received it back on the 26th of September. When I clicked RETURN ITEM in the column next to the item, I was given a label to print out, but had no way to print it, so I sent it on my own from post office. There was never a place on the RETURN DETAILS to put in the tracking number.

I know a few months back, when they were having trouble with the tracking system, buyers were having to reenter the tracking numbers in the returns so the system would update to show the package was returned.
Where it's located, I'm not sure.

Send the seller a message with the tracking number.
You can also upload the tracking to the case.
Seller has 2 business days to refund once the item was received.
So, if they received it on the 26th, they would have until 29th 11:59pm PT to refund.

I did send the seller the tracking number, but he says he never got the item back. There is no place in RETURN DETAILS to enter the tracking number.

I did that, but it just shows the tracking number from eBay’s label that I couldn’t print out. There used to be a place to enter the number if you used your own label.
Seller keeps saying they didn’t get the item. I told him to check the number on the USPS web site to see that it was delivered back to him. How can I prove to eBay that I sent it and he got it?

Yes, in the new returns flow,
- eBay pre-enters the return label tracking number, because buyers kept asking why can't I add the tracking number from the eBay label
- eBay removed the Add tracking or Mark as shipped, because buyers kept adding the fake tracking number from their own label
So now send a private message with your name, email, and zip code to eBay at Facebook or Twitter and ask eBay to update your return tracking number from the pre-entered tracking number.
If eBay reads your private message on Thursday, Oct 1, you will get 2 emails:
- You asked us to step in, wait 48 hours. Then 15 minutes later
- Thanks for providing tracking, we forced a refund.
And maybe it'll be Trinton, now in Texas, that'll update your tracking number:

Thank you for your help. I did as you suggested, what a hassle! First, I had to create a Facebook account which I didn’t want to do because I think Facebook is not a safe place. You shouldn’t have to do that just to post a message to eBay. And to top it off, no one from eBay contacted me. So, I guess I am out $55 just because I had to create my own label.

I sent the item back to the seller by my own because there was
no place that I could write the return tracking number and eBay
does not answer the phone anymore to get help. Now I lost $83
because i did not used eBay label for return and I am stuck with
a junk i wanted to return. eBay is a fraud . Buy from Amazon.
