Where does USPS mail to Puerto Rico go through on the mainland, usually?

Please don't guess or assume.

But if you ship often to PR, via USPS, and look at USPS tracking, is there / are there common USPS cities that the packages depart from on the  mainland before tracking in PR?

If so, is there a main one or are there many?  Thanks

All of them do. That's the sort center for our area. I'm about 100 miles ESE of Memphis.

I would assume that it is one in San Juan, PR.

Priority may come from any major airport on the mainland that has direct flights.  'surface mail' (large parcels, parcel post/select) goes via ship usually at the Port of Jacksonville and to a lesser extent, Port of Tampa.

Small parcels will usully come with the Priority Mail.
