Howdy.
So I bought an item last monday and the expected delivery date is today but I never got the item yet and honestly that's not really the part that concerns me the most. I'm mostly concerned cause it's shipped through USPS and the tracker only says that as of Tuesday at 8AM only a shipping label has been printed and it hasn't moved from that point since then. I tried contacting the seller twice but the seller doesn't seem to be replying. When should I dig deeper into this?

Many many delays with USPS, so items are in transit for much longer than normal. Many of the major sortation/distribution hubs are plugged up and packages are not moving along well at all...For the most part USPS has abandoned scanning of packages, more often than not the package will see no scanning beyond ship origin and destination point, so following the tracking is almost useless. The key in all of this is p-a-t-i-e-n-c-e!! ...and not to blame the seller for these delays, as there is little the seller can do and except like you wait.....The seller has no control over the transit time and keep in mind that the eBay "delivery times" are only estimates and do not take into consideration any delays along the way that may occur because of mail backlogs. Best to give this more time and allow another 2 weeks before getting concerned...

@mrdutch1001 offers good advice. You sound as if you want the item, so I'd give it some extra time.
@leon1242 ... One day after the expected delivery date you can file an Item Not Received claim. A mild hassle for you and the seller, if you're willing to wait. You'll have time to do that later, if your patience plays out. Good luck!

This is the exact same problem I'm having. The seller shipped an item to me last week Wednesday and the expected delivery date is tomorrow. I haven't received anything yet and the tracking says Pre-Shipment - USPS awaiting item. The seller has assured me numerous times that he did ship the item on Wednesday and he is also worried the tracking has not updated.
With my case I am in the same city as the seller and it really should've been here by now. With your case the seller isn't responding to you, I would say give it until Wednesday and then contact ebay to take it further. You can also file a trace claim with USPS or sign up to updates for tracking on the tracking page - Some have said this kick starts the tracking and package scans will appear

Try tracking your package on the USPS website not Ebay, they aren't always the same results. You can also click on the help link on the right side for finding missing mail and they will actively search for the piece.
