What to do when FedEx made a mistake and now it’s being retuned to sender?

Basically FedEx made a mistake by picking up a package I had at an OnSite location too early. Now it’s being returned to sender which is eBay’s sneaker authenticator.

What can I do in this situation? Will I be able to get the shoes back? Or would I be able to get a full refund? Who do I contact?

I called FedEx numerous times but they said it’s already loaded back on a trailer headed for Vegas.

Any help would be great!

Why would the pickup time matter?   If you were making an eBay return and used the label they provided it should be ok.  You need to explain more about what your doing.

The authenticator won't look at the clogs again regardless their absence, substitution, or condition, and will just return them to the seller. eBay will consider it's your fault for the failed delivery, and the seller can keep the clogs and will not be required to refund (but they can choose to voluntarily refund, less fees and postage).

To get ahead of the round trip and maybe-no-refund @fnkyalgrthm either

- file an Item Not Received dispute here to get your automatic refund in 5 days, or

- file a chargeback with your card issuer (call the number on the back of the card) to get an instant refund.

I wasn’t making a return. I had FedEx deliver to an OnSite location because I wasn’t going to be home that day and they needed a signature. So I was going to pick it up within the 7 days that they hold it.

FedEx instead picked it up the next business day sending it back to the Ground facility. They sent it out again but then falsely claimed it couldn’t be delivered even though the OnSite location was open. Then they just decided to return to sender, which is the sneaker authentication place.

I just got in touch with eBay customer service. They said they’ll send it out again as soon as they get it back in Vegas. Hoping I can hold them to that.
