So there is a really important item I want to buy. Only 1 seller in the world has it. But they only use ebay's Global Shipping Program. This is my first time encountering this in 20 years. How does one remedy this?

Weren't you the guy whose country of registration kept changing while you were replying to posts?
GSP doesn't ship to Western Sahara. You need to contract with a package forwarding service in a country GSP ships to or find one in the seller's country. Then you will have a shipping address they ship to.

"Remedy this?"
Most sellers who use the GSP do it because they want to forego the paperwork etc.
You will simply need to find another seller.
Would be curious to know what kind of item is available from only l seller in the world.

Your current location is shown, as Western Sahara, is not on the above list of countries (above is information about the program for countries outside the USA), nor is it shown if you check the USA list for shipping from same.
How do you remedy it; Might be as simple as showing the correct location (Austria or Germany?).
