What's the appropriate way to handle this situation?

Hi! We had a package that we mailed to a buyer come back to our address as undeliverable (it was due to an error we made). We're going to refund the buyer in full, but then, what's the appropriate way to go about reshipping the item to the buyer? After refunding the original transaction, do we need to create a new listing for the item and ask the buyer to repurchase it so that it's a new transaction with a new tracking number? If so, is there a way that we can set up a private-type listing so that only that buyer can purchase it? Or is there an entirely different way that we should be handling this? Thanks so much!

Yes; create a new listing and tell buyer to purchase. Before you relist it, make sure buyer is ready for a response message that it is 'live' and then you can give the buyer the 12 digit number. Doubtful someone else would 'buy it' unless you are selling $100 bills for $5.

One can always relist at a high price with best offer and tell the buyer to send an agreed upon offer, in this case the original price.
