What is wrong with SMARTPOST!

Every package sent to me from an eBay vendor via smartpost for the last three months has gotten lost. Every one of them - and the situation is always the same. Ebay tracking and fedex online tracking says the packages have been delivered to my front door, fedex customer service online says the packages have been turned over to USPS for delivery, fedex customer service (actual live person) says the packages have been giving to Fedex Home for delivery...and they never come. I open a case with eBay and so far the sellers have given me refunds. I get several packages a week and thankfully maybe one gets shipped Smartpost but this is ridiculous for me and the sellers.

Unfortunately,  listings don't specify that a package will ship Smartpost. In fact, they say UPS or USPS Priority usually. I look for the shipping method specifically in order to avoid Smartpost but it is never listed as a shipping method yet the seller decides to use the service after purchase.

I have taken to using Amazon more as a result of this issue.

My listings state what carrier is being used.

I have had zero issues as a seller shipping with Smartpost or as a buyer receiving purchases shipped with it.

Your problem is with your local post office - Smartpost last-mile delivery is done by USPS as USPS Parcel Select Ground. There is no difference between delivery of a Smartpost package and a Priority Mail or First Class Mail package as far as your mail carrier is concerned.
