Did you mean:

What is the definition of "small to medium items"?

The "Shipping method" drop-down says "Standard shipping:  Small to medium items".  What does this mean?  What's the dimensional and/or weight limit?

I've spent some time searching with no clear answer.

Alternatively, what is the starting point for "Freight:  Oversized items"?

This kind of thing always baffles me. I know what I ship, how heavy it is, what kind of shipping method I'm going to use. What are you selling? If you know the weight and size you can do some simple research and figure out how and what it will cost.

There IS no clear answer, somebody in eBay programming made it up.  You can ignore that "small to medium" text; it means absolutely nothing. The weight limit for USPS is 70 pounds, so anything above that would have to go by freight.

The size limit for USPS packages is a length-plus-girth of 108 inches, except for Ground Advantage where it's 130 inches.

For the record, there still isn't an actual answer to my question.  eBay is pestering by email to mark a reply as a solution, but there isn't one.

"Small" and "Large" are synonymous with "Soon" and "Later".

Re: What is the definition of "small to medium items"?

Your question was answered my @nobody*s_perfect . There is no definition of small or  medium package and there is no dimension or weight restrictions for that term as it does not refer to any specific service.  There are only 3 choices there so unless you are using freight or local pickup you use small or medium packages.

If you don’t want to mark the ‘there is no answer’ as an answer you are not required to pick one reply, just ignore the request.

Aw, now you've hurt my feelings. Don't you believe me and @pjcdn2005 when we say that eBay doesn't even HAVE a definition of those terms? That's why you "spent some time searching with no clear answer."
