What in the heck !!!

OK, You all know that I'm a mail carrier in Ohio. Yesterday I had to work. We all got snowed in Christmas so I didn't see anyone except my aunt and uncle next door. (My daughter and son in law couldn't even get home Christmas Eve (road up to their house was too icy), they had to back track to a friends house in town for the night). 

Well yesterday I struggled to wake up and get moving. I knew the roads would be bad so I wanted to get to the Post Office extra early. Hot shower to loosen up my back and legs (did the splits taking the trash out Cristmas day, not pretty or graceful to say the least). Poured two pots of french press down my gullet and went to work. 

This morning woke up at 2:30am couldn't get back to sleep (it's my day off !!!).  Maybe a little reading and I can go back to sleep (Kindle is dead, iPad is dead, I haven't had time to read in awile), a little time on the computer and I'll be ready for bed again. Ah-ha snow on the dish so I had to go take a broom to it so I could get on-line. So in my nighty and boots I go wack the dish. Horses hear me and wicker, so I trudge over and dole out their breakfast. Knees are cold so I come back in. 100% awake. I wanted  and looked forward to sleeping in.

Oh, no!  You certainly deserve a good night's sleep.  And here I am also awake for no reason at an unreasonable hour. Maybe you could try the classic combo of a  warm (non-caffeinated) beverage and boring entertainment? Or a cozy nap later in the day...

I gave up and just fell into researching lots on a semi local pick-up auction ending later today on proxybid. 

I'm unsure which way I would rather go to this auction. It is a auction house that used to have physical auctions every Friday now they have a weekly on-line auction through proxybid ending Sunday afternoons. Not sure if I spend more now or back when my butt was in the seats. 

I know I do not like that if you try to put in a last second bid it adds 2 minutes to the clock. I snipe with the extreem highest I can go then hope nibbles run out of time.  

Well at least this eliminates table runs. My garage is stuffed with basicly **bleep** that I had to cart home because I wanted one or two items on a table. Usually I post on freecycle for a garage seller a couple times a year and was waiting for good weather to go through and put stuff outside for pick-up then covid hit and along with it masses of mail order packages till I was just too tired to clean out the garage. Also no one was posting that they wanted free garage sale items.  And I won't do pick-up in the garage because I don't want tools and other items taken along with the give aways.

That sucks when you can't sleep. You deserve to be able to sleep, since you have to get out in the snow, rain, heat and gloom of night. 🙂 Thanks for being a mail carrier.

LOL I have thought about it. Played around with some fan fiction a time or two but never put anything out. A friend finally published her first book and has used being locked down from covid throughher last pregnacy and now home schooling her oldest who would have started school this year. Now she is working on her second book. I don't think any copies are available on eBay yet but both paperback and e-book are on Amazon. Amazon.com: Ridingleaze eBook: Diemling, Amy L.: Books 

It's a bit fantasy crossed with horse and I would say teen YA in genre if you know anyone interested. She is a massage therapist by profession but they actually had to close her practice and revamp the cabin on their property into a rental to make ends meet during this but still doesn't make up from being a 2 income family reduced to 1 income. So I am shamelessly putting in a plug for her book.
