Please need some support here from everyone. What is it going to take before EBAY starts ADDRESSING THE ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM? No matter what class of mail I use from Media Mail through Priority Mail the past 2 weeks and especially this week the delays have become incomprehensible. Seriously 7 out of every 10 packages lately have seen no movement and surpassed expected delivery dates including Priority Mail.
I have not even been using Media Mail anymore because it takes 21-30 days for packages to arrive and that is ONLY AFTER I Open Lost Package and Missing Mail searches with USPS. THIS IS GETTING SERIOUS! With the 4th Quarter coming soon I can't even fathom what it will be like around November and December. Are we all going to have to stop SELLING around Thanksgiving just to make sure we protect our inventory and investments and not have to give stuff away for free due to the USPS lack of ability to perform a service they are OVERPAID for namely delivering the mail in a timely manner and meeting their own ESTIMATED DELIVERY TIMES?
EBAY WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO HELP US WITH SOME RELIEF FROM OVER INFLATED DELIVERY ESTIMATES ON YOUR END and THE LACK OF SERVICE WE ARE PAYING FOR FROM THE USPS???

I would need to hire full time employees to answer to all of the customers as to why their packages are late.
It's not worth selling on eBay unless shipping gets better.
USPS is overwhelmed with Amazon and e-packets and they lose* money delivering for them.
The average customer is treated like dirt.
I'm going to jump through the Trumpian liecloud and ask why the US Postal Service would make a deal with Amazon where they would lose money?

Frankly, I think as a mailcarrier the Amazon thing needs revisited by USPS but that can't be done until the contract is up (no I do not know when that would be). We (USPS) have been doing last mile with FedEx and UPS for year and years. It actually saves both companys and USPS money. They deliver pallets to the PO's and save wear on equipment and time going door to door which USPS is already doing.
Amazon however is loading us down with huge and heavy packages. Thursday I had this in the back of my Jeep and these were all Amazon packages but not all of my Amazon packages for the day by a long shot.
A crib,
a 50# case of Science Diet dog food,
3 cases of Monster,
and
A box that probably exceeded 70 pounds if we could have gotten it on the scale, my postmaster had to load it because it was large and acward I couldn't get it up high enough to get it in the cart to take it to the Jeep. Since whatever it was wasn't packaged tight the box flexed making it much harder to handle and broke open tearing the corner and popping the tape as I got it out of the Jeep. I was forced to just leave it where it landed.
I have no issue taking the smaller items that IMO if it will fit in a mailbox it is best handed off to USPS to have secure delivery. I once was missing a important set of papers. FedEx insisted that they were delivered. The company sent them 3 times. One was dropped in the truck bed (daughters friends truck) and it wasn't noticed. Another was found by me months later when picking blackberrys, it had aparently blown there. Uphill about 80 yards from the house.
I would like to see a max of 1 cubic foot for the packages dropped by Amazon but I don't have any say in the contract talks.

Come August 22nd it is going to get worse.
Two post offices I use have posted their new counter hours. One went from 8:30-4:30 to 10-4. The other has gone from 8:30 to 9:00. Didn't pay attention to their end of day.
The only place along the way that can help us, is eBay. -- changes to anticipated delivery times, changes to the metric calculations etc. Maybe (pipe dream) if every seller were to email ebay support we might be heard.
The mail trucks you see on Sunday are delivering Amazon packages.

Not because of the pandemic..at all..
I've had everything getting here and shipping out up until about 2-3 weeks ago since the covid-19 crisis began..EVEN from hotspots(still am) now almost EVERY package is late ,lost or damaged..its almost like SOMEONE wants people/voters to loose faith in the USPS ..

I have a package that has been sitting in ICS Chicago since the 9th of July. Customs. What are they doing there. Why are newer packages cleared.

EXACTLY. agent orange has been trying to get control of USPS since day one. Now he has appointed a man that contributed over 2.5 MILLION DOLLARS to his campaign to the position and the guy has never worked a day for USPS.

USPS doesn't control customs, but I would think that they are short staffed also.

Yes, exactly. It's not the pandemic, but that makes a good smokescreen. USPS has been compromised by the new Postmaster General. Google it. The legislation enacted a long time ago to burden the post office with false debt is now finally paying off for those have wanted to kill off the post office. Unfortunately it's taking small business with it, and not just online business. And what a great side effect too: it hampers vote by mail. Pretty sure you can figure this all out now. Vote these **bleep**s out.

Mailed six things Monday night. Four are out for delivery today including one west coast and two on east coast. One is taking it's time through Indianapolis and one has the "in transit" non-update update.
Delays seem subject to which large sorting centers a package has to go through; I had one go through Chicago and that added like a day extra.

1 package is stuck in transit for 4 months from china 😀
