Please need some support here from everyone. What is it going to take before EBAY starts ADDRESSING THE ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM? No matter what class of mail I use from Media Mail through Priority Mail the past 2 weeks and especially this week the delays have become incomprehensible. Seriously 7 out of every 10 packages lately have seen no movement and surpassed expected delivery dates including Priority Mail.
I have not even been using Media Mail anymore because it takes 21-30 days for packages to arrive and that is ONLY AFTER I Open Lost Package and Missing Mail searches with USPS. THIS IS GETTING SERIOUS! With the 4th Quarter coming soon I can't even fathom what it will be like around November and December. Are we all going to have to stop SELLING around Thanksgiving just to make sure we protect our inventory and investments and not have to give stuff away for free due to the USPS lack of ability to perform a service they are OVERPAID for namely delivering the mail in a timely manner and meeting their own ESTIMATED DELIVERY TIMES?
EBAY WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO HELP US WITH SOME RELIEF FROM OVER INFLATED DELIVERY ESTIMATES ON YOUR END and THE LACK OF SERVICE WE ARE PAYING FOR FROM THE USPS???

You must read the new post on the POWER SELLER Board, titled DUMBFOUNDED IN MASSACHUSETTS!
The Op's post is EXACTLY what I am talking about. Customers opening INR'S because Global Shipping is holding packages and cases closing against the seller even though the seller DID THEIR PART and got the package delivered to GSP. This guy is losing every appeal according to his post. The Elephant In The Room!

Having same issues here. Had to credit 2 buyers who made a stink and wouldn’t accept the fact that USPS is suffering the effects of the pandemic. You make an excellent point. eBay needs to address this to support honest sellers. A banner notifying buyers of expected delays, and a pop up acknowledging the issue when a buyer opens up a claim due to shipping would establish more legitimacy for us sellers.

Well the Cat Is Out of the Bag Now, Ecomercbytes just came out with the story on the Auctionbytes Blog titled "USPS ACKNOWLEDGES LEAKED DIRECTIVES THAT COULD SLOW MAIL", It is a MUST READ, Members of the House and Senate have written a letter to the Post Master General expressing grave concern over this and "How it affects us Online Sellers" Kudos to them. Please read the article. So again my question to Ebay is What are you going to do to help us sellers and protect our business from INR claims due to a Mandated Directive and slow down of the mail system By USPS? And HOW DO YOU TAG A BLUE now with this new layout and design of the boards? It was easy before and now I can find no place to call on a blue?

I'm sorry to hear that! I paged trinton in my thread & while neither he, nor anyone else from Ebay answered, my pkg magically had 3 updates last night. Wouldn't hurt to 'page ebay' just in case that's what made mine suddenly become active.

@beautiful How would changing handling time help? I have had a number of pkgs that have taken 2 weeks to arrive. I don't see what changing handling time would do. I am shipping on time. What am I missing?
Slippin, you're very lucky if you live in a region where your sort center is not impacted. I can't say the same here where the Sort Center was impacted so substantially that the gov't tried to shut it down. I've had multiple INR's & I ship within 24 hours, often same day. Luckily, all but 1 buyer has been understanding.

I’m sending all my packages by Priority now, even those under 15 oz., plus bending over backwards to get it in the mail stream the same day. Anything that might help.

Generally, unless someone has evidence to the contrary, those USPS trucks you see on Sundays are delivering for AMAZON per a contract between AZ and USPS.

We have basically closed all of our eBay and Amazon stores either by making 5 day handling time and using vacation settings.
I would need to hire full time employees to answer to all of the customers as to why their packages are late.
It's not worth selling on eBay unless shipping gets better.
USPS is overwhelmed with Amazon and e-packets and they loose money delivering for them.
The average customer is treated like dirt.

eBay could care less about our extra time and costs involved with this horrible shipping that been going on for months.
All that matters to eBay is the stock price and eBay stock is doing very well.
Screw the sellers, it's not eBays problem, even though eBay supplies the labels.

I regret saying I may have to agree with you. Not going to blame any one system but my reputation is more important than a few sales.
What I don't understand is why eBay does not simply discontinue this shipping estimate feature. In its place simply insert due to present pressures on the shipping industry your package may have an increase in delivery time. Something like that. Most buyers would understand.
People are not ignorant, there is no reason to IGNOR the elephant in the room.
eBay knows this, please catch up eBay, institute a policy that helps the buyers and sellers. ACKNOWLEDGE the shipping issue and suspend behavior that set expectations that cannot be achieved over the entire system.
Thanks for the consideration.
Regards.

....................general reply.....................
what is the big deal with USPS.they are doing a great job,how great...not sure but I think they are better than fedex or ups.I have 1 day handlig time and I ship 6 days a week and use only 1st class .I am quite sure some of them have arrived late but I am not really sure.
In my mind packages only arrive late if you know about them, thats why i do not bother checking tracking. So far so good.I ship 150 packages a month and no real complaints.
If tracking is making you agitated then just stop looking at it.

Same. I have two packages (Media Mail) and they were shipped on July 14th. Ebay shows that they are in transit with the 14th as last update. Going to USPS tracking website shows it was updated on the 18th as in transit but will be delayed, but again no location change. Makes me wonder if they loaded it into a large cart and are holding them and all the other media mail packages.
I am going to stop using Media Mail personally. I want the items I sell to people to arrive in a decent time. I would have thought it was February with mail not being updated like this (for those who don't know February is when the post office does the Count and they have been caught multiple times hiding mail in semis pulled off the road to lower the counts, since counts determine route size which effects how much they have to pay rural carriers (not sure how it effects city carriers, but I imagine it is similar.))
