Warning about Ebay shipping label page

When someone wins your item, and you click "print a shipping label", you usually get Ebay's newly designed label page.  But you can switch to the "Classic" label page if you prefer.  Problem is, they display drastically different amounts.  With one of my sales, if I had clicked "purchase" on the new page, I'd have been charged $20 priority mail.  But fortunately I switched to the classic page, where the amount instantly dropped to $9.......which seems very low, because it was a 15x12x4 box being shipped across the country.  Needless to say, I took advantage of it.  But whatever the case, Ebay seems to have a technical problem they need to fix.

Warning about Ebay shipping label page

eBay gremlins. They've done it before, which is how I knew to suspect that possibility. Sometimes it's a carryover from a previous shipment, but of course  it shouldn't be transferring into your "Ship from."  Correct it next time you prepare a label, and the correction wll probably carry over for future labels, but do keep an eye on it.

The size of that box wouldn't affect the shipping cost.  So the difference in prices must have been due to a difference in either (1) the weight or (2) the ship-from ZIP Code that appears BELOW your return address on the label preparation page.    I suspect that it was the second issue, since there is no coast-to-coast Priority Mail rate of $9.

You're right, the label says "from 66044" at the top, which is Lawrence KS......which is nowhere near me OR the buyer. What's the deal?
