WARNING - Fraudulent “return item” emails.

HEAD’S UP

I have just received 2 emails stating “I am returning my item (and then an item number with about 10-12 digits). Please let me know when you will send my refund” (They came into my personal email account but I suppose they could also send them through eBay).

The item “number” is clickable link BUT it tales you to a scam site. (No, I didn’t click it)

I assume they are betting that most people would mumble “now what” and click it to find out what the problem is.

DON”T it is a scam..

WARNING - Fraudulent “return item” emails.

::sigh::

Another mine in the minefield of the internet.

Thanks for the heads up!

The easier you are to offend the easier you are to control.

WARNING - Fraudulent “return item” emails.

Thats one reason so many accounts get hacked.

People will click the links and enter their log in information before they notice it isn't Ebay.

They also install key loggers and virus's on your system.

Have A Great Day.

WARNING - Fraudulent “return item” emails.

Unfortunately yet another scam.  I'm glad you caught it before it cost you any money or private information.

BTW, return requests for EBay will always come through the Ebay emails.
